Bios and Press Releases
An engaging bio is a key element of a creative artist's press kit; press releases get the word out about new achievements or events.
For example, jazz singer Perry Danos's record label needed a crisply written bio that detailed the arc of his career while focusing on his new CD release, while singer-songwriter Meg Braun, a relative newcomer, needed a concise bio with a "hook" to interest potential fans. To get out the word about its new commercial video, independent producer Underdog Entertainment needed a press release that sounded professional but also personable and included a lot of information within a strict word limit.
