After a hiatus, we&#8217;ve been booked to play a set of our NEW songs at a NEW venue, Goldsounds in Brooklyn, on June 8 at 7:30 PM. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/jonsobel.com\/?page_id=597\" target=\"_blank\">Whisperado website<\/a> for details.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, I&#8217;m covering all four of the Royal Shakespeare Company&#8217;s &#8220;King and Country: Shakespeare&#8217;s Great Cycle of Kings&#8221; productions at BAM, beginning with <em><a href=\"http:\/\/blogcritics.org\/theater-review-nyc-shakespeares-richard-ii-with-david-tennant\/\" target=\"_blank\">Richard II<\/a><\/em> starring David Tennant. In between, I&#8217;ve <a href=\"http:\/\/blogcritics.org\/concert-review-nyc-songs-for-eternity-with-ute-lemper-music-from-ghetto-and-concentration-camp\/\" target=\"_blank\">reviewed a concert featuring the great Ute Lemper<\/a> singing songs from the Holocaust and the Jewish ghettoes of World War II; a wonderful production of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/blogcritics.org\/theater-review-nyc-nathan-the-wise-with-f-murray-abraham-and-stark-sands\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nathan the Wise<\/a><\/em> starring F. Murray Abraham at Classic Stage; a great CD recording of a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogcritics.org\/music-reviews-jim-cullums-porgy-and-bess-live-and-the-oatmeal-jazz-combos-instant-oats\/\" target=\"_blank\">jazz-band version of <em>Porgy and Bess<\/em><\/a>; and more.<\/p>\n<p>And I&#8217;m working, slowly, on my book based on my <a href=\"http:\/\/parkodyssey.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Park Odyssey blog<\/a>. Tentative title: PARK ODYSSEY: AN URBAN EXPLORER&#8217;S QUEST TO VISIT EVERY PARK IN NEW YORK CITY. I&#8217;m up to well over 200 parks, if anyone&#8217;s counting. On the blog, not the book.
